We decided to blur the image a lot more than the orginal image for the purpose of making Sophia more in focus in our poster. We did this as she was the main vocal point in our poster and we had to make sure that she stands out in the poster in order for her to create meaning to audiences that she has a strong presence in this film. We also used various blending techniques to help sharp edges feather out and this effect is useful as it makes the image look more of a natural shot.
